The Heart Behind The Letterer

The Heart Behind The Letterer

Hi, I’m Rachelle Dayo, the heart and hands behind The Letterer.  I’m an illustrator, a mom to Suntee and Alpha, and most importantly, someone who has found God’s grace in the messiness of life.

I never expected a simple love for hand-lettering and scripture to turn into something bigger. What started as doodles and Bible verses in my quiet moments has grown into a space where faith, creativity, and encouragement come together.

The Letterer is more than just a brand—it’s a reflection of my heart. A heart that has wrestled with hardships, found comfort in God’s Word, and discovered the power of creativity as a form of worship. Every design I create is meant to do one thing: remind you that God is with you—right in the middle of your story.

Why I Started The Letterer

I’ve always loved words. Writing them, drawing them, meditating on them. There’s something powerful about seeing truth on paper, about filling blank pages with prayers, dreams, and raw emotions. I wanted to create something that would not only be beautiful but would also help others grow in faith, process their emotions, and find hope in the midst of life’s struggles.

A Childlike Faith in Every Stroke

One of my greatest joys is bringing scripture to life through whimsical, childlike illustrations. There’s something so special about the way children see the world—with wonder, trust, and joy. Through my drawings, I hope to reflect that same childlike faith—a faith that believes in the goodness of God even when life feels uncertain.

More Than Just Pretty Pages

The Letterer is about more than just selling planners or journals. It’s about creating a space where faith and creativity collide—where you can express your heart, organize your thoughts, and be reminded that God is working in your life, even when things feel uncertain.

Whether you’re using one of my planners to map out your days, pouring your heart into the lament journal, or simply following along on social media for encouragement, my prayer is that The Letterer helps you draw closer to God in your everyday life.

I’m so glad you’re here.
